A poetry & cocktail event, and the return of happy hour
Poetry & cocktails with a couple superstars, live on your favorite screen, Tuesday, May 25, at 3 pm PST
We’re thrilled to be hosting a special conversation between poet Arisa White and novelist-and-North-Light-staple Daniel Handler. They’re discussing White’s newest book, Who’s Your Daddy, which has been described as a “lyrical, genre-bending, coming-of-age tale featuring a queer, Black, Guyanese-American woman who, while seeking to define her own place in the world, negotiates an estranged relationship with her father.”
We’ve shipped cocktails back east for Arisa via the Pony Express, and Daniel will be sipping freshly-made libations while joining from a barstool at North Light.
Consider adding one last zoom to your Tuesday at 3 PST / 6 EST, but you can do this one with a drink in hand.

Happy Hour
Yes yes yes, afternoon and early-evening drinking has returned, after a long, dark, thirsty year. North Light is throwing a Happy Hour kick-off party on Monday, May 31, from 4 to 6 pm. Our staff have developed a delicious and refreshing menu of afternoon cocktails, which we’ve paired with fan favorites from the kitchen (tots, snap peas, etc.).
We’d love to see you! Reservations are recommended for the kick-off party but not required.
We’ll have an actual real-live stool for you to sit on at the bar very soon. Until then, it’s all sunny patio and lively parklet. Happy hour will run weekdays from 4 to 6, starting on May 31 and until the end of time, guaranteed.
xoxo
